Become a Haute Couture professional: garment and collection design, pattern making and artistic textile techniques.

Haute Couture Fashion Design

The course combines skills in artistic fashion illustration and digital fashion graphics with a solid knowledge of couture and industrial pattern making. Students also acquire advanced tailoring skills, learning how to work with fabrics to create their designs in the atelier. Students are encouraged to create Haute Couture garments of exceptional sartorial quality, from draping and developing the pattern directly on the dress form to producing and fitting a toile, before applying the most refined couture techniques. These include decoration, hand and frame embroidery, pleating, printing, knitwear, millinery and glove making. By the end of the course, students are fully rounded professionals capable of designing and producing Haute Couture garments and collections, together with their accessories, to the high quality standards required by the industry. This comprehensive training supports entry into the professional world and enables Koefia Academy graduates to pursue opportunities with internationally renowned companies and fashion houses.

1

2

Students from fashion schools, art high schools specialising in fashion and vocational fashion institutes are admitted directly without further formalities.

3

Students from general high schools or other upper-secondary schools must submit a portfolio of fashion drawings and projects.

DHOOTING – Nude tulle dress with a jewelled belt at the waist, worn over a boned bustier in tulle and satin. The look is completed by a wool-cloth bomber jacket featuring all-over embroidery worked by hand on a frame.

SHADES OF GREY – Grey wool-cloth coat. Its defining feature is the lapel, which recreates the stylised shape of a wolf’s head through polygonal panels of wool and fur in different shades of grey.

PLEATED CIRCLE – Raw-denim cape with a pleated mantle and yoke created using the sunray-pleating technique.

OVERSIZED SHORT-SLEEVE COAT – The fabric texture is created by joining fine textiles piece by piece, framed by gold faux-leather piping that reconstructs the structure of the outerwear garment.

MILLENNIUM – The defining feature of this oversized grey wool-cloth coat is the large embroidered patch on the back, reproducing the shape and tonal variations of the Millennium Falcon.

CARAMEL – Oversized bomber jacket in caramel-coloured coated fabric. Ovoid inserts create volume at the lower edge.
