One-year Programme/Professional

Fashion Designer

ONE-YEAR PROFESSIONAL PROGRAMME

Taught in Italian, the Fashion Designer programme follows the curriculum of the first year of the three-year Bachelor’s course in both content and practical assignments.

The programme devotes substantial time to drawing and design, alongside the fundamentals of pattern making and couture garment construction.

Fashion Designer

The Fashion Designer programme is intended for those who wish to study fashion drawing and illustration using both traditional artistic techniques and digital tools. Students learn the fundamentals of anatomical drawing and fashion illustration, essential for accurately representing garments, accessories and complete looks. These skills are supported by classes in art history and costume history, providing the visual and stylistic knowledge needed to conceive original garments within a coherent design context. The course also includes an in-depth study of software used in fashion graphics. At the same time, students are introduced to basic pattern making and develop a three-dimensional approach to design that considers the shapes and volumes of the human body. This technical approach enables them to turn creative ideas into feasible projects and to understand, from the initial design stage, how garments will be constructed and made. This integrated method trains Fashion Designers to express their creativity through concrete projects ready to enter production. The balance between creativity and feasibility provides comprehensive preparation for those seeking a career in fashion.

Classes begin in October.
