If you studied Fashion Design at another academy and would like to specialise in Haute Couture production, this programme will prepare you for a professional career in couture pattern making and garment construction.
A Master’s programme specialising in product development: from garment construction and textile techniques to knitwear, and from embroidery design to the techniques required to produce it.
Italian Haute Couture Production
The Master’s in Italian Haute Couture Production is accredited at EQF Level 7 and is intended for students who have completed a three-year university programme at another fashion school and wish to specialise in production. The programme provides in-depth training from collection design to couture garment construction, ensuring high standards of product quality. Students acquire advanced skills in digital tools and couture techniques for developing fashion collections, from pattern making to the artisanal manipulation of textiles. They learn to design unique garments, produce prototypes and present their work through professional books and portfolios. Designers are therefore equipped to manage the entire production cycle, with a particular focus on Haute Couture while also addressing the requirements of prêt-à-porter. Upon completing the Master’s programme, graduates can approach leading fashion houses, maisons and brands as professionals capable of managing every stage of production, from design to the creation of runway garments.

The KOEFIA student, once trained, becomes a professional capable of intervening in every phase of the creative and production process.
Every student is unique and receives individual guidance from the teaching staff to develop their natural abilities and strengths
At the end of the academic programme, students are offered internships and interviews with leading companies in the industry
Admission requirements
A three-year degree, Bachelor’s degree or equivalent EQF Level 6 qualification;
a portfolio of fashion drawings and projects, to be assessed by the Koefia Academy Management;
successful completion of an admission interview.

HANDS AT WORK
The photograph shows the assembly of the toile panels of a crinoline bustier, ready to be sewn.
TOILE – Study of a sleeve shape. Its volume is first defined on the toile.
BEFORE THE FINAL PROJECT – Valentino-red evening dress with rose-shaped draping across the bust.
DRAPING ON THE DRESS FORM – To shape the drape, every fold is studied and secured with pins before being sewn by hand, stitch by stitch.
BEFORE THE FINAL VERSION – Fitting a crinoline bustier before the boning is inserted.
COUTURE DETAILS – The cup and toile panels of the bustier are joined by a row of beads, each sewn on individually by hand.
