TWO-YEAR PROGRAMME – KOEFIA DIPLOMA
Two years of atelier practice to become a professional pattern maker and acquire advanced tailoring skills in artistic textile techniques.
The course is designed for those wishing to develop skills in the production of Haute Couture garments. The first year is dedicated to couture pattern making. The second focuses on Haute Couture garment-construction techniques and the production of embroidery and knitwear elements.
Haute Couture Pattern Making & Tailoring
The two-year Haute Couture Pattern Making and Tailoring course is intended for students who wish to develop advanced practical skills in pattern making and luxury tailoring. It is designed for those aiming to work in luxury-brand ateliers or workshops specialising in bridalwear, occasionwear and bespoke garments, with a strong focus on sartorial quality. During the first year, students learn moulage, creating three-dimensional patterns from basic garments through to more complex shapes. The curriculum also includes industrial pattern-making fundamentals and the use of CAD-CAM and CLO3D software to create and manage patterns digitally. The second year focuses on couture garment construction in the atelier. Through a predominantly practical approach, students work with knitwear, embroidery and other artisanal techniques. An examination at the end of each year enables students to prepare materials for presentation during job interviews. By the end of the programme, graduates have the skills required to work in ateliers, garment-manufacturing companies and boutiques specialising in bespoke clothing.

Admission requirements
No specific previous qualification or training is required for admission. Applicants must, however, attend an interview with the Management to define and clarify their learning objectives.

BUSTIER TOILE – The pattern takes shape directly on the dress form through fitting and correcting the basted toile.
CONSTRUCTION DETAILS – The individual pieces of the jacquard outerwear garment are backed by hand with ivory twill.
WORKING WITH MOULAGE – Study of radiating darts, created by shaping paper on the dress form to define the structure of the outerwear garment.
FROM PAPER TO FABRIC – Cutting the nylon by following the lines of the now-corrected pattern.
TOILE – Sewing the toile is a fundamental step in couture because it is like making the garment for the first time before producing it in the final fabric.
AT THE END OF THE DAY – The traces of a day’s work, what we at Koefia call “Creative Chaos”.
