ONE-YEAR PROFESSIONAL PROGRAMME
The Haute Couture Garment Construction course teaches the tailoring techniques of the Italian tradition and develops professional skills focused on excellence.
The programme centres on Haute Couture techniques and the Italian tailoring tradition. In addition to garment construction, it includes embroidery design and production, as well as knitwear techniques.
Haute Couture Garment Construction
This is an advanced programme for students with a solid knowledge of Haute Couture pattern making. It is a second-level course focusing on the tailoring techniques required to produce bespoke luxury garments. Delivered entirely in the atelier, the programme gives students the opportunity to refine their skills while working closely with experienced master craftspeople. Students explore specialist techniques including knitwear, frame embroidery, millinery and glove making, together with textile manipulation and decoration. These artisanal techniques are essential for creating unique, high-quality garments that embody the excellence of Made in Italy. The tailoring skills acquired are sought after by companies operating in Haute Couture and can also be applied in ateliers and boutiques specialising in bespoke bridalwear and occasionwear. In these settings, garment personalisation and the quality of artisanal workmanship are essential.

The KOEFIA student, once trained, becomes a professional capable of intervening in every phase of the creative and production process.

At the end of the academic programme, students are offered internships and interviews with leading companies in the industry
Admission requirements
Admission requires completion of the one-year Couture Pattern Making course or proven experience in couture or industrial pattern making. An interview with the Management is also required to assess initial skills and define the learning objectives.

SHEER-MATTE – A fastening can become the defining feature of a garment. This design alternates transparent and opaque surfaces through the contrast between crêpe and crêpe georgette.
OUTERWEAR – Acid-green quilted outerwear garment with floral appliqués featuring white petals and black centres, from which fringes of black wool yarn fall.
LAYERS OF BATIK – Batik-fabric coat. Hand embroidery enhances and reinforces the printed motif, contrasted with a sleeve covered in quilted PVC.
PRECIOUS REVERSE – The reverse of a crinoline bustier, backed with jacquard fabric, is meticulously finished in every detail.
CONSTRUCTION CLOSE-UP – The alternation of transparent areas and double layers of nude tulle creates a geometric design that reshapes the structure of the dress on the form.
INSIDE-OUT – Inner beauty. Unlined jacquard trousers finished with hand-applied taffeta piping that completes and enriches the internal edges.
